Macy’s Beauty box is a $15 per month ($16.98 with tax). While they promise five items and a bag (sometimes replacing the bag) they usually end up sending an additional perfume sample with the bag. My first Macy’s Beauty bag was in December of 2020 and I have to say that while some months are clearly better than others, I have never been disappointed by this subscription. In fact it is one that I most look forward to.
So let’s see what this month brought, shall we?
First up, the bag. It is a clam shell sort of shape with a flat bottom in a pearly pink wipeable material. I love that the zipper opens wide so that larger items can be stored inside and I like that it has a pretty big capacity for such a small bag. My favorite part has to be the fact that it has a flat bottom and can stand up on it’s own. That makes it so easy to use. I can actually see me getting a lot of use out of this.
This month the entire pink tissue paper wrapped roll of goodies was inside the bag. There were five items and a perfume sample this month. This month’s perfume sample was Marc Jacobs’ Perfect. It is one that I saw an advertisement for and have been interested in trying out. At the moment I am working my way through the Zent’s perfumes so it will have to wait, but I am very happy to have a sample in the perfume testing line up.
The next item is one I have tried before and really enjoyed using. It is the High Maintenance Cannabis Peeling mask (this link will take you to my full review). I received a sample in a Look Fantastic box a few months ago and absolutely loved it. It made it onto the list of products to order in a full size and I am thrilled to have another sample.
I am also happy to have another sample of the Sunday Riley CEO Vitamin C Brightening Serum. I used the full size of this a while back when I did a full skin care line up of Sunday Riley Products. I really enjoyed using the serum and am happy to have it return in any size.
The other three products are new to me, but also on the list of products I want to try. The first of them is the Urban Decay All Nighter Face Primer.
Last week I found out that my favorite Urban Decay Primer was being discontinued and this primer was the only one featured on the Urban Decay site. So I am very happy to have a chance to try it out and decide if, when my current Urban Decay Primer runs out, this would be a good replacement for it. I love when timing lines up like that, don’t you?
Next we have the Elemis Peptide Overnight Radiance Peel. I’m sure if you’ve read my posts for any length of time you have realized that Elemis is one of my favorite brands.
I don’t think I have ever tried a product from them that I didn’t like. I’m sur there will be a first time at some point but thus far they have rocked it. I am always happy to see any Elemis product in a Subscription box and will certainly get a good use out of this one. At the moment this Overnight Radiance peel from Elemis is on sale as part of a bundle for their 24/7 Essentials Collection. The bundle is on sale for $84 (retail of $153)
Finally we have the bareMinerals Ageless Retinol Treatment. It is apparently a new release product and I am very excited to try it. I have used a wide variety of bareMinerals makeup products but in their skin care I have only used their face masks.
They are one of those brands that always produces good products but tends to fly under the radar. You don’t see a lot of ads for them which is a shame. I am going to have to schedule this retinol into my list of products to try in my skincare line up.
So that my darlings was my May Macy’s Beauty Box. This month it seems like they looked directly at me and said, you know, we thing that we should just send you a bag of things you like and want. It is rare that I am this excited by every item in a subscription but quite frankly this month was all aces as far as I am concerned. This was certainly $15 well spent.
