Measurements Week 3 of 6: Bust: 46.5”, Hips: 46”, Hips: 47.5”

Good morning my darlings and welcome to another Friday. It is once again time to take stock. The measurements haven’t really changed much since last week. there is half an inch less on my bust. But quite frankly i am not sure how fast I am supposed to lose inches. Which is sort of why I chose the measurements over pounds for this six weeks.

I didn’t want to get discouraged if I didn’t see the weight come off quickly and I have no idea what to expect from measurements. So by taking the measurements I have the requirement of measuring myself each week so I feel like i have to stick with the plan, yet because there are no set expectations, the number changes aren’t influencing how i feel about my week.

You know what is influencing how I feel about my week and the fitness? My body. That’s right, I am actually listening to how I feel. What a concept.

I have to say, I actually feel pretty good about what I did this week. I kind of ache all over, but I feel good about it. This week I decided to add one more set of reps to my workouts this week. At the moment the thighs from Wednesday wore the worst. Admittedly that may be because it isn’t until this afternoon that I add in the arms along with the extra set. My work outs are split out by days, Monday is abs, Wednesday is legs and Friday are arms. My abs took the extra set with no problems. My legs had no issues doing the extra set and I was fine until Thursday morning when the front of my thighs started thinking nasty thoughts about my workout plan. They are still a little achy this morning, but they are easing into it. I fully expect that my arms will protest a little during the work out and then Saturday I will wake up with achy yet limp noodle arms. My arms seem to need the most recovery time as well so at least they have a three day weekend.

Because Monday I am taking off from the gym. I am actually taking off from everything actually. There will be no Gym and there will be no Monday Posts. I am taking Memorial Day weekend completely off. Okay there will be some gardening work done over the weekend, but that’s about it. Everything else will wait becasuse sometimes, you just need a weekend off.

But before I take my weekend off. The current progress:

Not much change but I do feel good and right now, feeling good and getting healthy are the two top priorities. I made it to all of my workouts this week and managed to to find a time for my walks when I wasn’t half sweated to death. Over all, not a bad week.

Weekly Weight: Measurements Week 2 of 6

Measurements Week 2 of 6: Bust 47”, Waist: 46”, Hips: 47.5”

Good morning my darlings.  I have just completed the second week of my six weeks with measurements instead of a scale and I have to say I am really liking it.  The numbers aren’t shrinking a lot, but they are moving.  As I have no idea what to expect with the numbers, I have no preconceived notions.  I am not obsessing about why I lost one pound one week and then had the same effort only lose half a pound the next.  It is really a bit freeing. 

Admittedly I am curious.  I want to see what the inches mean in terms of pounds.  But I can’t for another few weeks, which is why I had my babydoll hide the scale.  That way I won’t be tempted to cheat. 

I do like the fact that the scheduled workout activities are causing me to lose mass over my entire body instead of just in one area.  I really like that.  There isn’t one part of my body that is being targeted more than the others. Monday is Abs and Cardio, Wednesday is Legs and Cardio and Friday are Arms.  There are a lot of arms so I get to skip cardio at the gym on Fridays which is nice. 

Saturday mornings my arms still feel like jello but they aren’t as bad as they were when I started. And if any part of me needs a little extra time to recover it is my arms. They have never been my strongest body part.

Admittedly with the heat and humidity on the rise I may be switching a few of my walks to the treadmill just to not overdo it in the sun. I’m going to try tilting my schedule so that I walk earlier.  It is however nice to know that I have the option of the gym for those days when the walking trail is not an option.  Especially as everyone is saying this summer will be just as hot as last year.  Last summer if I didn’t walk before 8 am, then chances were pretty good I wasn’t walking at all.  This year I at least have the treadmill option.  It isn’t as much fun as the walking trail, but it is a good alternative. And the trick is to just keep moving.  I may not know what the scale says at the moment, but if the inches keep decreasing, I’m pretty sure the pounds will as well.

The progress is slow and steady and I am feeling really good about my workouts actually. In fact I feel better about them than I have for quite a while. I just need to start switching the weekly meal plans into warm weather mode rather than the colder seasons meals and all will be well. I tend to go for lunch time smoothies rather than my regular mid day meals actually. They are cold and they can be consumed as I work, which is kind of nice. In the winter I tend to go four lunches involving soups, mostly because they are warm and can be consumed as I work. I know, i probably shouldn’t eat and work at the same time, but I don’t often have the time to take off for a full lunch mid day. My workouts and walks kind of eat up what spare time i have. Its a trade off but it works for me.

The Daily: May 3rd, 2021

Good afternoon my darlings. Strange things are afoot in the neighborhood today. The house of Agnes is getting a makeover. A strange man with a tool kit has been meandering around the outside of the house fixing things and a short while ago a couple of people went into the back yard hauled the collected tree limbs and other piled logs away from the shed. It was kind of interesting. I looked out every time i passed by the window and got to see a small boat emerge from the tree limbs.

The boat has been buried since before we moved into the house and as her shed can be seen from the window over the kitchen sink we always speculated as to whether it was a boat or just a trailer. Only the hitch was visible. It is now most definitely a boat.

While Agnes wandered over here a few months ago, she hasn’t been seen much in the past year. Admittedly no one has really been seen much in the past year so that’s really not an indicator. I suspect though that Agnes might be moving into an assisted care facility or with a family member soon. The way they are tidying the house is the same sort of tidying that people tend to do just before they look at selling it. even though I don’t see her much it will be sad to lose Agnes as a neighbor.

But that is enough nosiness from me. If I happen to see one of the family members I know in the next few day maybe I’ll know more. For now I’ll just leave it be. It is good to know that it is a boat behind the house though.

Today I got my weights in at the gym but by the time it came to do cardio, all of the available machines were full and there were so many people in the gym that I began to feel twitchy. I decided to brave the off and on spitting rain of the walking trail instead. It was not really raining but the air was so saturated that it felt like I was pushing through water with every step. I got home and every article of clothing was damp and sticking to me. I was just going to rinse off but I did the full shower instead. I also decided against makeup today as I will be going in and out of the house this afternoon and suspect anything I put on my face will just make me look like I am melting. It usually happens more in the summertime, but today is just humid enough and just warm enough that I’m pretty sure the melting look would occur. So it is fresh faced for the day.

The Daily: April 26th, 2021

Good afternoon my darlings. I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. Before I get too far I want to remind everyone that the Giveaway is still going on. It runs until May 6th. This link will take you to the Giveaway post so you can find out how to enter the Earth Day Giveaway.

Today I did the first of the Monday workouts at the gym. The trainer said that the abs are muscles you can work out any time as apparently they don’t need to rest like other parts of your body do. I would like to respectfully differ. My Abs got a fantastic work out today and they have already petitioned me for a rest. Luckily Wednesday is mostly legs and Friday is all about the arms so they have some recovery time. On Friday’s workout my arms were a little sore by the end of the day but Saturday morning they were feeling the burn. I suppose that means things are going well.

This is my first full week under the new routine so I am expecting my internal complaints department will be fielding calls from all parts of the body. I can live with that as it will get better. Nothing on the list is beyond what I can do, it is just not something I routinely do. I liked the arm work out on Friday and I liked the ab workout today so hopefully I will like Wednesday and then I will really be in business. Because if I like a work out well enough to make it a routine, then I am good to go.

And quite frankly I am ready for a little routine in my world. There has been too much unsettled lately. Routine may not be exciting, but it lets you get things done around it.

Today was mostly new Makeup. The Products I have used before were the highlighter, bronzer and foundation. All are among my favorites. All are products I will repeatedly purchase. The NARS pressed powder in Eden is one I have used before and like but I tend to forget I have. The slim black package tends to blend into the shadows. I need to remember to reach for it more though as I really do like it.

The nars Blush in Angelika came in this month’s Boxy Charm and I’ll admit i was a little worried about the shimmer. However once applied to the cheeks it was fine with no shimmer at all. I think it was a bit of an over spray. I like the formula of the blush. It shouldn’t come as a surprise as I like most of Nars products. I don’t actually remember trying a product from them that I didn’t like. Their Velvery stick foundation used to be one of my go-to products before it was discontinued. It is a brand i know I can purchase and have consistent quality.

Marc Jacobs is another brand that i usually do well with. I was a little nervous about the primer because I am not a huge coconut fan. The scent is light though. It isn’t a coconut bomb in your face and it did a really nice jub blurring out my pores. It felt great on the skin and I needed very little to get the product to work. All of those things mean I will be reaching for this prime often.

The Nourishing Mascara probably won’t be making my favorites list any time soon though. It feels good on the lashes and my lashes are darker with the mascara on. It took several layers to get the lashes to a stage where I was happy with them. It was a lot of work for a casual and non dramatic look. After working with them, they looked okay for the day. Given the amount of time i spent dealing with them, they should look spectacular. I think i will use this tube but not repurchase.

this leaves me with the two Swimmables products. I was actually quite impressed with the shadow stick. I applied it on the outer edge of my eye and blended inwards with my finger. If i moved quickly it worked well. But don’t delay, once the shadow stick sets in place it really wants to stay there. I think this light is designed to be waterproof so setting into place seems natural. Today i am wearing it alone to see how it performs. Tomorrow I will start to see how well it plays with others. I’ll use it off and on with different products and next week I’ll gather my results and we’ll talk. For now, I like the color and I like the blendability. So I am please it is in my collection.

The Swimmables lippie is interesting as well. It is a liquid lip and it does dry down so that when you touch a finger to your lips your lips feel dry. After drying I had no issue with lip prints on the coffee mug or water glass. not a single smudge was left behind. However when I roll my lips together they still feel slightly sticky. Not uncomfortable, and even less sticky than a lip gloss, but still slightly sticky. I’m guessing that the stickiness means it never truly dries down so my lips won’t feel parched. I’ll have to check on that at the end of the day. I like the color and hope it too lasts throughout the day. We will have to wait and see for that.

Considering how many new products appeared today, I am surprised that there was only one that was a bit disappointing. Still even the slightly disappointing mascara feels very nourishing on my lashes and that more than lengthening or volumizing is it’s claim to fame. So I can’t be all that disappointed can I? And with that it is back to work for me. Have a great rest of the day everyone.

Weekly Weight: 217.2 lbs

The Scale April 23rd, 2021

Welcome to Friday morning my darlings. My weight is once again on the downswing and i feel fabulous. As soon as I am done with my morning posting I will be heading off to the gym and the first workout of the new system. It feels like the first day of school. I have my check list all ready and a new play list set up to play. It has actually been a while since I put together a new play list. Each of the ones I have right now have been with me for a while. It is certainly time for a shake up. New routine, new playlist and a new focus on my goals. I feel pumped and ready to face the day.

This week i did pretty good in keeping on track. I stayed within my calories and got my walks in consistently. And it showed. I am down a pound from last week so I am happy with what I accomplished this week. It will be interesting to see how things change with the new system in place.

But I am getting ahead of myself. First workout this afternoon. Exercise first, evaluate after. Today I am actually working out with a watch so I can see how long the whole thing (including drive time) is going to take. It might mean a schedule shake up next week, but at least if I time it today I can plan over the weekend.

And while I am thrilled at the one pound loss this week I a,m asl thrilled to have a marker on the day I started for evaluation purposes. It is always good to know where you start so you have a reliable benchmark. this is my benchmark day. In six weeks I meet with the trainer again for evaluation of both me and they system. So I’ll compare these to the June 4th numbers to come and end up with a pretty good idea of how things stand. I know it sounds a bit pedantic to restate it like that, but I really like having that set date. I didn’t think i would. I thought I’d be pressured. I think because it is a check in to see how the system suits me rather than any sort of enforced evaluation I feel better about it. I might feel different about it the closer I get to the date, but for now, I like knowing there will be an official comparison and evaluation of the system day. It makes it feel less like drifting.

The Daily: March 30th, 2021

The flood waters have receded. Well, mostly. There were a couple of dicy patches with thick squishy mud that almost sucked my sneakers off my feet, but over all the creeks have returned to their beds and the walking trail is once again open.

It was very nice to once again walk in the sunshine. My plan was to try out the treadmills at the gym should the trail not be open but I am glad that I don’t have to actually drive to the gym today and can just walk down to the trail and go on my walk. Tomorrow of course is a gym day. So I’ll be scheduling in the driving. At the moment gym days require walking up a half hour earlier to kind of make my schedule balance. Its working without too much disruption so far and i think I can adjust to the slightly earlier wake up three times a week. It gets me to the gym, avoids the most people and doesn’t throw my schedule off.

The only thing is that I’ve never been a morning person and right now it is early enough in the spring that waking up a half hour earlier means it is still dark when i get up. Not loving that part, but everything else seems to be doing okay.

I had my first dentist appointment in a while and it was an interesting experience. For a while they weren’t scheduling anything, then they had a system and a backlog of patients so I was overdue for a visit. It was a little strange. In the exam room my dentist has removed all framed prints and dental advertisements. There are no brochures for extra services or really anything that could in anyway become contaminated with anything. Anything that remains is coated in disposable plastic and then of course there are the masks and the gloves.

You can see the nails where pictures once were so it sort of looks like they were the victims of art theft. Beyond that everything went well. I went to my appointment sans makeup actually. I picked up a new foundation ( well new to me, I’m not sure how long it has been on the market) that i want to try. It is the No 7 Lift and Luminate Triple Action Serum Foundation with SPF 15. I figured wearing it to the dentist’s on it’s first day out of the box was a bit too cruel of a test for it.

Besides any face products worn at the dentist tend to get destroyed. Sure I would be able to hide the destruction behind a mask when I left the office, but I figure why put everyone through that.

So no makeup today. I will start in on the new foundation tomorrow and wear it every day until next Thursday (April 8th) when I will write up a full review. I figure that will give me enough of a feel for the product. Tonight I will be playing around a bit more with the Ciate London Eye Luster Liquid Shadow. But beyond that, my skin gets a fresh face to the world. Or at lest the world that is encapsulated by the walking trail and the dentist’s office. It’s a small sliver of the world, but it is all that I am visiting today. I might however get in a second walk this afternoon to make up for several days in a row being unable to walk outside. In addition I am making Carrot Cake for Easter and I adore carrot cake. So getting in a little extra walking time before the carrot cake arrives is not a bad thing.

The Scale: March 26th, 2021

I know it isn’t much of a weight loss.  To be honest I’m not surprised.  This week I did start to go back to the gym.  Which you would think would make the weight loss more.  The issue is of timing.  I forgot to schedule in the drive time and changing time and all the other little bits. There was even a first time back since the pandemic outbreak reorientation I had to go through. I’m not complaining.  The lecture actually made me feel better about going back to the gym. It just ate up more time than I expected. 

And there were fewer walks this week as well.  All in all I think I ended up with about a third less exercise than I usually get this week.  Hopefully next week will get better. I’m hoping to adjust things so that I can get my weights in at the gym and still burn calories on the walks.  I think the schedule will be a bit fluid as I try to work out the details.  But hopefully I will get there. I think I’ve figure out my timing now and am prepared.

Admittedly because of all of the tree pollen in the air here I have about a pound of snot in my head at this point so working out hard may be dependent on the pollen count.  At least the gym is indoors.  That is a good thing.  It also means I may use the treadmill there rather than the walking trail.  Next week.  I’ll have to play that one by ear.

So little by little chipping away, with of course the daily life’s ups and downs.

As I am trying to keep track of the wear in these sneakers as well, I have posted the original photo and this week’s update.  Thus far the shoes are holding up. They have reached the stage where my feet no longer think of them as new, but now feel they are comfortable. Hopefully the feeling will last a long time. Working out is miserable when your shoes don’t feel right.

The newly purchased and un worn shoes on the left and the current state of them on the right. And yes, they seem to have gone from blue to black. they are the same shoes.

I find the side by side comparison very strange. In real life the bottoms of the shoes are still blue. They have darkened from the bright blue but they are still actually more blue than they appear in this picture. I see more wear on my toes than anything else, which doesn’t surprise me as I have always balanced my weight more on my toes than anything else. not sure why, but it has always been the way I walk.Admittedly there is some wear starting to show on the rest of the shoes as well. This is after three full weeks of wear on them.

The Daily: March 23rd, 2021

Today has been interesting. Since I actually want to the gym yesterday, and plan to go back tomorrow, I am having to adjust my schedule. Oddly it isn’t the actual work out part that takes the time. I end up working out the same length of time there that I did at home, although I do end up working a bit harder at the gym. My muscles certainly feel it today.

The time difference is the drive time.

I actually spend more time driving to and from the gym than I do working out. It is something that has to be added to my schedule and adjusted around.

It is actually one of the kind of amusing things about trying to lose weight. When you decide to make an effort to actually lose weight, or become healthier people will talk about a lot of things. They will talk about the aching muscles and the adjustments their bodies need to make. They will talk about clothing and workouts and even the effects of water. I’ve even found articles dealing with the rubbing of cloth against sensitive bits that runners face from their clothing.

One thing that doesn’t get a lot of mention is that if you are putting in a serious effort you really have to consciously sit down with your schedule and plan. It is very easy to say, Oh I can easily incorporate an extra fifteen to twenty minute workout into my schedule no big deal. But it is never just fifteen to twenty minutes. Unless you are hanging out in your workout clothes all day, there is the changing clothes, the going to wherever your workout is going to be, doing the fifteen to twenty minute workout, driving back, showering and changing clothes (along with applying makeup if you are doing that) and and then getting back into the swing of your day.

There are ways to minimize things like getting up early and starting your day with the workout or finishing work and ending the day with it, but those require adjustments as well. Family meals might be shifted around. Homework assistance adjusted as well as a bunch of other little details.

The details vary from person to person, but the point is the same. You have to plan around it and that a fifteen to twenty minute workout will always take longer than fifteen or twenty minutes.

I forgot this in my excitement about going back to the gym (and wow i never thought I would ever put the words excitement and gym in the same sentence)

While I am still doing my walks, I am adding in the twenty minute workout three times a week. So I am in the middle of adjustment. I’ll get there, I am just a little upset at myself for forgetting i needed to think it through. Hopefully you can learn from my mistake and if adding to your routine, take a few minutes and think it through so you don’t get too tangled up.

One good thing about playing catch up at my desk today is that aside from my walk I am not really going anywhere so I can wear one of my favorite pair of dangling earrings. These are a real pain to wear with a mask on so i haven’t been wearing them that much. I believe they are in the shape of lilies. I honestly can’t remember where I got them. Which kind of bugs me as I would very much purchase more jewelry from whoever did make them if I knew where I actually got them from in the first place. I remember purchasing them online but I can’t remember the site. It will continue to irk me.

There were several repeat products from yesterday. The bronzer I used, the Trestique Bronzer Stick is really too heavy to pair with the NYX tinted moisturizer so I tried to use a light hand. I still think it is a bit heavier than I planned. However it will be the last time i use this stick. I thought I had more product, but alas I did not. The Trestique is now empty. It will be repurchased as I really like it with my foundations, it is just a little much for tinted moisturizers though.

I did however want to use the NYX Bare with Me today because I am testing out the K Voss Bronzing Potion Glow Cream and the EcoFabulous Blush and I wanted a variety of foundations to work with so I could see how it performed. Thus far I am liking both products. Plus, i like the NYX Bare with Me.

I picked up the Illamasqua highlighter again because I forgot to put it away yesterday and because I really like it. It was no hardship to use it twice in a row. I like the early Bird Palette as well. It has been a while since I used this Pretty Vulgar Palette. I recently did a palette declutter and I am rotating through my palettes to see if I still want to keep all of the palettes I still have (as I still think I kept too many) My rule is that if I don’t use them this year or find myself avoiding reaching for them this year then at my end of the year declutter they will go away.

To be honest, I forgot i had this palette. It was small enough that it got buried. I am very glad I unearthed it and i will be using it more. I like the softer colors of the mattes. The shimmers too are a little more muted. I am not as big a fan of them as I am of their mattes. They don’t give a massive shine pay off and apply best with a fingertip. There are enough mattes in this palette to do a nice soft look. It is one i will definately be playing around with more now that I have remembered that I have it in my collection.

The Daily: March 22nd, 2021

Oh my darlings, today I did something I have not done in an entire year. Are you ready? I went to the gym. I know! I decided that since my local gym has a very strict masking policy, and I’ve had the first of my vaccine shots I would attempt the gym.

My on-line app for my gym has an occupancy meter and so since my day was a little flexible I waited until ti dropped low enough for me to feel comfortable and then I went.

I stayed far from others and even though you are only required to wear the mask when moving around the gym and not when working out, I wore my mask the entire time. I also wiped down the machines both before and after I used them. Not that I don’t trust my fellow man, but…

It was an interesting experience. There were very few people in the gym and not only did everyone keep their distance, everyone there was sort of eyeballing everyone else to make sure they kept their distance. It was like working out in a paranoid workshop. Which, to be fair suited me just fine.

I also learned that despite trying to keep up with things at home, I am certainly not used to the weights at the gym. I did my normal circuit which takes about 25 minutes and while I was able to do all of the exercises, I had to lower the weights from the amounts I was used to. But that’s okay, I would rather ease back in rather than do too much too fast and hurt myself. After all, I have nothing to prove and even if I did, no one is near enough to see me prove anything. For all they know I could be lifting the heaviest of the weights. I just probably need to grunt more and look like i am straining if I try to pull that off. Not that I plan to pull that off, it just seems like weightlifters grunt a lot. Understandably so of course, but still.

I will say that it was a quiet gym experience. There was no idle chit chat between patrons. everyone kept to themselves and there was no talking to strangers. Or even friends. Or staff members. You use your phone to flash the electronic reader and the staff nods at you as you go about your workout. I didn’t realize how much I accidentally eavesdropped at the gym until there was nothing to hear. I don’t like using my earphones when moving from machine to machine so I listen to the sounds around me, which generally include music that spans several decades and other people’s conversations. I will also say that I arrived in my work out clothes, put my bag in the locker, worked out, took my things out of the locker and went home. I didn’t even go into the locker room, I used the outside lockers.

While I will never love going to the gym I have to admit that I really did like using the machines today and since I am going to try for a Monday, Wednesday and Friday routine this week, there is a part of me that was quite gleeful about knowing that I will actually get to leave the house twice more this week.

So that was my first gym adventure this year. If it stays like it is, then I will feel comfortable settling back into a routine. So fingers crossed. After the gym I took a quick shower. I kept my hair tied up and just tidied it with the Klorane dry shampoo (my favorite is the Nettle for dark hair). Also since I am not going out again today and will be working alone at my desk with no need for a mask I went with dangling earrings instead of mask appropriate ones. These came from Ear Fleek. I can’t decide if they are oranges or lemons. I was feeling the yellow today as you can tell from the shadow. I went right for the Helden Shade in the Berlin Underground Palette from Nomad.

Today I tried to remember to take a picture in natural light instead of just the bathroom. I went a little bolder in the eyes than I usually do, but I was just feeling the red and yellow combo. I started off with the red of Tacheles, then put on Poor but Sexy over it, brightened it with the yellow gold of Heldan and then added Kreuzberg in the corners. I also added the black of Klubnacht to finish it off. I I haven’t gone wild with colors in a while but I really love this palette. The only thing you really have to watch is Klubnacht. It does have a lot of fall out. Beyond that, the shadows blend well together and I had a lot of fun with them. Over all, I am pretty happy with how this look ended up coming out.

The Primer and the blush were both new to me products and this was the first time I’ve used them. I will be keeping them out throughout the week and on Thursday, once I’ve gotten the feel for them I’ll let you know how they performed.The TrestiQue will also be used this week as I think I have just enough product left in the packaging to get through the week before it is empty. It’s been a while since I used the NARS foundation and I forgot how much I really liked the formula. I need to remember to keep it out more. I think I have been going for so many tinted moisturizers lately that i just forgot about my foundations. I am also very pleased with the Illamasqua highlighter. It give a really nice glow. Over all, I was quite pleased with the product performance.

Weekly Weight: 217.6 lbs

No you aren’t seeing a flashback, I actually gained a little weight this week. What can I say, it was a very off week for me.  Daylight savings threw me for a loop, allergies did a number on me and the vaccine took a bit of a toll.

If there was one week where I was going to be okay gaining a little bit of weight, this was it.

Am I happy? No, I always want to see those numbers go down.  Given the week I will accept it.  I am going to list the stats before I think too much about the numbers.

The stats:

Starting weight: 246.0 lbs

Last week’s Weight: 216.8 lbs

This week’s weight: 217.6 lbs

Change this week:  +0.8 lbs

Lost this far: 28.4 lbs

Personally I can live with the gain this week.  The trick is not to let it stop me from losing weight next week. Oh and last week I forgot to post a picture of the shoes with this post so I am posting both last Friday’s shoes and this Friday’s shoes.  I know at this point they are still new enough not to show too much wear on them (plus it has been raining so there has been less walking than usual) but I want to get in the habit of recording the wear as I move forward.  Week three may not show damage but I’m betting around week eight, there will be signs of wear.  While the brand for these is still New Balance, this is a new style for me with a slightly different sole and I want to monitor how it wears to see if I want to keep going with this style or shift to trying a new pair. Plus if I get in the habit of taking a picture of them every week, I won’t forget to monitor them and then have to think back to when I actually purchased them and try to guess about how long they lasted. Or be surprised by a hole in the toe.  With luck, I’ll see it coming.

I think moving forward I may take the picture of the shoes when new and put them on the left and then add the updated photo of the week so that the change can be more visible seen. But as i said above it is early days yet. I’ve just begun braking these shoes in really.It will be interesting to see how long they last.
