It is amazing how much better the world works when you have had a good night sleep. Yesterday I was in a sleep deprived haze and barely remember getting through the day. Last night I took my Hum Nutrition Beauty zzzz’s gummies and called it an early night. I slept and actually felt human again when I woke up this morning.
Sleep is fabulous.
I made up for my one short walk yesterday with a much longer one today and other than that I am playing catch up on everything that was missed yesterday. Apparently even though I was in a fog most of yesterday I still managed to get quite a lot done, which was a bit surprising. Even more surprising was that it seemed to be done correctly.
Tomorrow it is back to the gym and as much as I really don’t like the gym I am happy to return to chipping a little more weight off of my body and becoming more fit. I had a very strange dream last night about not being able to fight off an attack by a pack of ninjas. While even at my most fit I couldn’t fight off one ninja, nor have I ever had any cause to be under attack by ninjas it does make me feel like I need to be more fit. In case you were wondering, in my dream they were trying to steal a bar of soap.
I have no idea why this soap was important or why I had important soap to begin with, but I do know that it was wet and no one could grab it without it slipping through their fingers. I was also fending off the attack with a foam pool noodle which didn’t really aid my attempts at defense. I’m sure there is some reason for the dream I just don’t know what it was.

Today the primer test for Glam Glow continued. It has been an interesting product to work with and has both pros and cons. I’ll put up my full review later in the week. (Thursday). I am continuing my rolling declutter. Today I had bothe a foundation and cream eyeshadows to look at. The Fit me foundation is an excellent formula. I really like the product. What I don’t like is the open topped bottle. Every time I use it I end up pouring out more than I intend and in the end I make a bit of a mess. As a result even though I like the formula, I don’t reach for it a lot. when I went on the Look Fantastic Store page, I remember finding this foundation in a squeeze tube. If it is the same foundation, then I think I would pick that up instead of the original bottle. And that is because I just don’t reach for this one due to the mess. I will use up this bottle and keep in mind that if i do need to run out to the drug store and pick up a foundation on the fly this one is a good one that will work for me. I am just trying to limit myself to products I will consistently reach for as I am running out of space in my dressing table.

The cream eyeshadows I quite frankly forgot I had. I pulled two of them out to use today thinking that surely they dried up. To my surprise they were perfectly fine. Blending them is always a bit interesting. I generally find that I have to apply the darker one and blend it to the lid and then wait a bit for it to dry down a little before adding the lighter more metallic shade on the inner corner. The lighter shade layers over the darker but if you try to blend them they both just get a bit muddy. I have several colors and really do like them, especially when I know I am going to be out all day and won’t be able to check a mirror. Once in place, they just don’t move all day. They are truly 24 hour wear. But it takes a really long time to get through one of the little pots, at least for me. I think I might pick up one or two of my favorite colors, but I don’t think I would repurchase all of the colors I currently have.It isn’t a product i feel i need to keep the entire line of.
I reached for the Ciate London Blush because I was reminded of it by the August Spoiler from Look Fantastic and the blush performed beautifully as always so it is definitely a keeper. I am also keeping the Cocoa Contour palette from Too Faced around. it is beautiful packaging that feels good in the hands and had a selection of well pigmented products. I need to remember to reach for this more often actually.
I still like the Becca Pink Haze and will continue to use it up. I won’t be stocking up before Becca closes its doors though. I will finish this up and possibly look for another pink tinted face powder to replace it. It is nice, but I don’t feel that I have to stockpile it before it becomes unavailable.
Likewise the Farsali Rose Gold Face Mist will be used up and let go. It is very pretty to look at and it feels good on the skin hoaerver it is a little on the wet side and takes a while to dry. It is also highly scented and after a few days, I get to the point where the scent is too much. I am going to try to keep the Farsali out for a while so I can use up more of it and hopefully clear it out of the drawer but once it is gone, I won’t be looking to replace it.
I will however look to replace the They’re Real Magnet Mascara. I used the last from the trial sized tube today and from start to finish it performed well. I have several mascaras I need to try, but this is one that I will repurchase.
Over all it was a pretty mixed bag of makeup today. And even though everything is currently staying, I’ve identified a few items I will be using up and clearing out. which isn’t a bad thing. I am very happy those cream eyeshadows didn’t dry out on me.
