The Daily: December 1st, 2022

Good afternoon my darlings. Can you believe it is December already? It feels like November just evaporated. But then I sort of feel that way about all thirty day months. Add in a holiday and it just shrinks to an eyeblink. I am actually kind of proud of my self and disappointed all at the same time today. Yesterday I restrained myself from walking a lot in the fabulous weather.

I was so proud of myself for being all adult and responsible. Then the weather turned in the night and rain pummeled us from about dinner time last night to the wee hours of this morning. And the temperatures plummeted. So the park is flooded and it is really chilly and windy outside so I am now disappointed in myself for being all adult and not taking better advantage of the sunshine. I know I needed to work instead of walk but as I can’t really walk in the flooded walking trail today, I am a little disappointed in my own responsibility.

I’m sure there is some sort of internal lesson in there, but mostly I am just going to blame the weather forecast (although I should probably have looked at an update before deciding to be responsible and stay working at the desk. So I guess that is on me and not the dopplar radar).Still the work needed to be done.

Today is gray and cold with the wind blowing all sorts of bits of stuff through the air. Which means I will be getting a lot done at the desk and doing an indoor workout today. I actually don’t mind too much as I picked up a cordless jump rope to try out. It has two weighted balls on the ends of the handles rather than an actual jump rope. I took measurements and am committed to using it for a month before I review it. But I kind of like it thus far. I can use it without worrying about the rope smacking into furniture or ceiling fans when i use it indoors. I’m using it in the sun room which has space, but it does take up a lot less space than a regular jump rope when i swing, so it is easier for indoor use. And it is kind of fun too. And let’s face it, workouts are better if you actually enjoy the activity you are doing.

Today’s Look:

Primer: Tatcha The Silk Canvas Protective Priming Balm

Foundation: Kristopher Buckle Triplicity Priming Foundation Stick

Blush/Bronzer/Highlight: Marc Jacobs Omega X Three Palette

Setting Powder: Beauty Bakerie Flour Setting powder in Oat

Eyeshadow: Sweet Potato Pie Palette from The Beauty Bakerie

Mascara: Complex Culture Executive Level Mascara

Lips: Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte Lipstick in Dead Roses

Today I went with one of my favorite primers, the Tatcha silk canvas. I really just love this primer and I wanted something matte for today as well. I wasn’t really feeling glowy. Plus I have just started getting my skin back to normal post holiday so something with skincare mixed in isn’t a bad idea. It was clear enough that I was okay wearing makeup today, but a little extra help never hurts. (Plus I had a meeting this morning and needed the makeup on for it.)

The Foundation is alas from a company that has gone under. While you may be able to find this foundation at secondary sites, it is no longer being produced. I love this foundation though so I want to use up the last of my product. I am trying to make an effort to roll it in once a week so I can use it up and then send it on it’s way. Since I know I will never be able to get it again, there is the tendoncy to try and hoard it, but I know it will just go bad, so i am using it up while it is still good. With a once during the week and use over the weekends I think I can actually finished it up before the new year.

Again continuing with the theme I used a Marc Jacobs face palette today. I love this palette, especially in the winter. The tones are just perfect for my skin right now. Which is kind of amusing since it smells like coconut and makes me think of summer when I use it. The shades are more winter shades for me. And it’s slim design is perfect for travel. I picked this up from BoxyCharm as Marc Jacobs no longer makes makeup. And I’ll be honest, even though it isn;t in production any more I will keep using this until I’ve either used the products down to pan or it is too expired to use. And then I will still use it as a travel compact for the mirror. I’ll try not to use it too much for these posts since it is no longer in production but I do love it and it will make several appearances throughout the winter.

The more I use this setting powder the more I like it. the slight color is just enough to keep the powder from being blinding and it never makes me look powdery. It also locks my makeup in. Which Is pretty much why you use setting powder in the first place. So two thumbs up.

Today I had fun with the blue shade in the Sweet Potato Pie Palette. why is there a blue shade? No clue. I’m sure it is a pop of color for the orangy-red palette. It does work well with the other tones even if it isn’t pie like and I really liked using it as a psudo eyeliner today. It actually worked really well. I’ll admit I focused more on it than the rest of the eye and I could have blended it better, but I (very stupidly) did the blue first and then thought ‘Oh other shadows yeah lets put them on’. so I was working around the eyeliner effect instead of going the other way around. I will say the shadow worked really well. The brush I used was the Luxie 221 Flat definer if you are interested. It had the short stiff bristles and straight edge that I needed, plus it is wider than my eyeliner brush which gave me a little more control and let me apply in a straight line (which is not really my strong suit. I know there are a lot of you out there who are pros at this, but I tend to reach for the smaller brush as my brain thinks eyeliner and it never works for me when I try to use shadow as liner. Using this brush really helped me out.

I know it isn’t like discovering gravity or inventing the wheel, but I am kind of stoked by this. And yes I will probably be using this trick a lot in the next few weeks as I am so pleased with it. (I apologize in advance.)

Today I remember to use an eyelash curler before applying the mascara and it looked better, I think. The mascara does a good job at lengthening but the eyelash curler really helps it out. This is actually the third of fourth use of this mascara and while that isn’t much I will say that this mascara tube is now messier than a lot of my more well used mascara. For only three or four uses, that is a bit of a mess. I’m not sure how that is going to affect it moving forward. But we will see.

And today I went for the ABH Lipstick I wanted something neutral and this worked. The shade has been eliminated so I am trying to use it up, which sort of made it fit the theme of the day. The formula is fantastic though and I will be picking out more shades from this range. It is a very comfortable formula to wear. And for those interested, it is part of their 50% off sale right now. The link is in the product list above (not an affiliate code). It is just a really good lipstick. I use the traditional bullet style versions. I remember trying and liking the liquid lips from ABH but it has been a while since I purchased any from the brand so I don’t know what the formula is like now. The bullet style is fantastic though.

And that my darlings is me. Even though I groused about not taking advantage of the sun, I am thrilled I have a new to me makeup trick (even if it isn’t that groundbreaking it makes me happy).I’m not entirely sure that balances out, but I suppose the silver lining is the actual productivity. And sooner or later the rain will end and the floods recede. For now, there is more work and a cordless jump rope workout ahead of me. So I will get back to that and let you get back to your day. Have a great one.

The Daily: June 20th, 2022

Happy Monday my darlings. Have you ever wanted something but put off purchasing it because you knew you really didn’t need it? And then you saw it go on sale for half price and picked it up anyway? I finally purchased the Urban Decay Naked Honey Palette. I know I have plenty of browns and golds and bronzes, but This palette simply appealed to me. I talked myself out of buying it so many times and then poof I got an e-mail saying it was fifty percent off. A few clicks later and it was purchased.

I have to say I am extremely surprised by how fast it reached me. I woke up Saturday Morning and it was by the front door. I ordered it Thursday afternoon.

How fab does that look? Okay, for those of you who aren’t into neutrals maybe it isn’t so fab, But I really like this palette and can’t wait to try it out. I had the original Naked palette and used every shadow down to pan before i let it go. It was the only palette from the Naked line that I purchased. And in those days I had a very small apartment and only three eyeshadow palettes. Which probably played into how much I used it. It was my go to work palette. I am thrilled to give a new Naked palette a try. I’m just sort of tickled in general.

Other than that it is a pretty quiet day. Nothing went crazy over the weekend it seems so today is just rolling along smoothly. I love Mondays like that.

Today’s Look:

Primer: Sephora Smooth and Blur Primer

Foundation: Kristopher Buckle Triplicity Foundation Stick

Bronzer: Trestique Bronzing Stick

Blush: Dominique Cosmetics Silk Tone Cream Blush

Powder: Laura Mercier Translucent Powder

Eyeshadow: Urban Decay Naked Honey eyeshadow palette

Mascara: Patrick Ta Major Volume Mascara

Lips: Yensa Super 8 Lip oil in Pink Shine

I know, it was mostly about the eyeshadow today. But there were several new products used. This was the second use of the Sephora Primer. It is a bit on the slippy side so you shouldn’t use too much. It is an okay primer. I wouldn’t go to Sephora specifically to purchase it, but I might cuck it into the cart while shopping.

The Kristopher Buckle Foundation is fantastic. I adore it. But as it is now no longer available anywhere but on Amazon (even Walmart ran out and the brand’s sites are all null) so I think it is safe to say that it is no more. I will keep this in rotation so that I can use it up and then let it go. It is sad because it is fabulous. And I am trying not to be tempted by Amazon.

As always love the trestique bronzing stick. They are now refillable so fabulous got een better. I like the formula and I love the ease of application for this product.

This was a first use for the Dominique Cosmetics Cream blush. One swirl of the finger in the pan was enough product. It went onto the cheeks easily and blended like a dream. It didn’t blend out and disappear like some cream blushes but it blended smoothly and easily. I was going for light today so I didn’t do a second swirl to see if it can be built up, but I will try that tomorrow. Today though it worked well.

The Laura Mercier setting powder is new to my line up. I heard so many rave reviews so when Sephora had the powder and a caviar shadow stick set (travel size) a a Birthday gift for this month, I picked it up with my order. (I know lots of people do look what I ordered from Sephora posts, but I tend to order one or two things at a time, rather than load up on lots at once. I know I’d probably save on shipping if I did that as well as have more dramatic purchasing unboxings, but that’s just not really how i shop. This time I was restocking my hand sanitizer – Touchland Power Mist, I’ve used it for a while now and will have a post up about it tomorrow actually. In case you were wondering about my big Sephora order. It was the Hand sanitizer and the birthday gift)

The powder worked well. It didn’t really want to come out of the little holes and kept blocking up, but when I did apply it it felt rather nice. I can see why it is well thought of. I may have to enlarge the holes to use it more effectively, but I did like it.

And yes, we have come to the eyeshadow. I loved this palette. The shadows needed to be tapped off of the brush, but after that I didn’t really have any powder fall out. The shadows I used layered beautifully without becoming muddy. In that past some UD shadows Have had blending issues. while I only had the Naked Palette, I had several single shadows and they tended to be used as one and done because they didn’t play well with others. This seems fine. I used the darkest gold as my shimmer and I absolutely adored it. Since I’m testing it I will be using it for the next week or so. we’ll see if all those neutral brown and gold shades get boring r if I like it just as much at the end of the trial as i do now, but at the moment I really like it.

The Patrick TA mascara was nice. It dried fast which is nice, but major volume it really isn’t. It is a nice mascara and it has worn well today, but it isn’t all that exciting. Perhaps it will get better with use, we shall see.

I rounded the look out with my favorite lip oil from Yensa and called it a day. Its fab, it always is. And now for me, there is work to be done. Yes, the paperwork is calling. well actually that may just be final edits on my latest manuscript. Soon another book will be out. Sooooooon. I am so ready to finish it and move on to a new cast of characters. And I am so close I can taste it. So it is back to work for me. Have a great rest of your day my darlings. And remember, if you put all of your commas in the right place the first time, your revisions won’t look like your editor bled all over the manuscript. Not seeing the red speckles everywhere make editing much more pleasant.

The Travel Makeup Bag for May 2022

While not a review, I thought it might be of interest to you to see what I am putting in my travel makeup bag and why. During my daily makeup posts I tend to rotate through makeup, but when I travel I tend to pick reliable products that can fit into a small makeup bag, especially when it is a weekend trip. While this isn’t exactly a fun getaway, it is travel. The only thing I left out of the makeup bag is mascara. The reason is that this trip is for a memorial service and there will be many tears shed. At the moment I have yet to pick up a waterproof mascara so I am leaving my mascara behind and will either pick up a waterproof mascara at the drug store or go without.

When traveling I generally find it a good idea to stick to products that don’t spill and I try to reduce the possible breakage component by sticking to cream products so they feature heavily in this bag.

This time I am starting with the Kristopher Buckle Triplicity Foundation stick. It has traveled with me for quite some time. It is my old reliable. I’m still not certain of the status of the company. I know that the main website shut down after massive sales and now it is available at walmart. It is a fantastic foundation, I just don’t know if it will be replaced once it runs out. I may actually scoop up one more for travel purposes because it is really hard to beat this stick formula. Plus I don’t have to worry about foundation bottles breaking. But if the company has gone under I won’t stock up, I’ll just work on finding a new travel fave.

The face products

The primer I am taking with me is the Tatcha Silk canvas Primer. It is a fantastic pore filling primer that locks in my makeup for as long as I end up wearing it. As I have no idea how long I will be in makeup this weekend I thought it would be a good product to choose.

The trestique bronzer shouldn’t surprise anyone. It is quick and easy to use and one of my favorite cream formulas. The Illamasqua Colour Veil Gel blusher also shouldn’t surprise anyone as it is rapidly moving to the top of my favorite products list.

I didn’t bother with a highlighter, but you may notice a tiny round pot with a gold lid and a pink bow on it. I know, it looks like an eye cream, however it is actually a sample size of the Ciate London Extraordinary powder. It came in an IPSY bag a while back and to be honest, I have refilled it a couple of times. For a weekend it is all the powder I need. I will be adding the powder puff from the Kim Chi Powder to my makeup bag to use with it.

Shadow and Brow

For eyeshadow I am taking The Balm and The Beautiful Palette from The Balm. It is the one I’ve been playing with recently. I really like the formulas and the ease of application and it is a compact size that fits in the bag. So since it was already out, I went ahead and added it to the makeup bag. I will have the full review of the palette up next week, I simply didn’t get a chance to finish it this week.

I added a Marcelle eyebrow pencil because I like it and it has a spoolie on the end so I don’t have to worry about adding secondary brow products (like a brush) into the bag. And then we have the lips.

the lips

I’ll be honest, i don’t think I have ever traveled with just one lip product in my life. To this bag I added my favorite MAC neutral in Bated Breath. I also added a Trestique lip crayon in case I wanted a slightly darker product. I added the Yensa Lip oil in case I felt like shine, or only a glossy lip with no lipstick and I chose an assortment of lip pencils. Some match the lip products others stand alone. For this bag I chose, UOMA, Persona Cosmetics, Bodyography, Huda Beauty and Real Her. I figure they are all relatively neutral and all have slightly different formulas. I plan to choose whichever one appeals at the right moment. And more than anything I like having a variety of lip products to choose from. Oddly enough in out of control situations it can sometimes make me feel like I am in control by making a decisive decision as to what lip product to wear. As it is a weekend where I can control nothing and can only deal with whatever happens, having that one tiny bit of control, really does help me mentally balance. Even if having seven lip products in the bag does seem a little extra.

Sometimes it isn’t abut what you actually wear.

And so that my darlings, is the makeup bag I will be traveling with this weekend and why I chose the products included.

The Daily: May 9th, 2022

Good afternoon my darlings, I hope you had a great weekend. Mine was …not so great. We had an unexpected death in the family and are dealing with the shock and sadness. This Friday we are driving down to deal with the more physical things. It will mean that Friday’s schedule will be thrown out of whack, but the rest of the week should be fairly normal. The photos may feature puffy eyes a bit more this week, but I am going on with the posts. Mostly because it helps to actually do normal things. As I am several states away I can only do e-mail notifications and phone calls instead of being on the scene, so to speak, so focusing on doing some normal things kind of helps.

As do longer walks, which honestly is more for deep breathing and escape than exercise.

I am very happy that I got into the habit of walking well before now because it really helps to have that physical escape. As for food, well the meal plan is a bit shaky. I made the stuffed peppers as I planned, but had no appetite last night. I ended up eating cinnamon raisin toast with a bit of butter. I think that is going to be played by ear as well. I’m certain at some point my appetite will come roaring back and I will deal with that, but sometimes life just is what it is.

While I did put on makeup today I am suspecting that the mascara was a really bad idea and may be left off of the rest of the week. I also discovered I have no waterproof mascara and will need to pick some up before the weekend. So…

Today’s Look:

Pre Makeup Base: Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentre

Primer: Tatcha Silk Canvas Primer

Foundation: Kristopher Buckle Triplicity Foundation Stick

Bronzer: Trestique Bronzer Stick

Blush: Illamasqua Gel Blusher

Highlight: Saint Luxe Liquid Glow

Powder: Kim Chi Beauty Puff Puff Pass Set and Bake Powder

Eyeshadow: The Balm and the Beautiful by The Balm

Mascara: Blinc Ultravolume Tubing Mascara

Lips: Bodyography Lip Pencil in Rosewood

The Embryolisse provided much needed extra moisture this morning when I applied my makeup as my skin felt a bit salt dried. I like the pre make up base in general, but today it was a stand out assist.

When I started to put on makeup today my first thought was to test the Saint Luxe Liquid Glow. As the last two foundations I tried out had a bit of an illuminating effect I wanted to see how it worked with a matte product. As I started choosing my products however I ended up thinking about travel. I will be going out of town this coming weekend and my mind automatically drifted towards what would travel well. The Trestique, Tatcha and Illamasqua were no brainers. The Trestique has been my travel bronzer choice for several years now actually. There is the possibility that the Illamasqua gel blusher and Tatcha Primer will join them as they both have formulas that travel well and look good for long periods of time.

I took out the Kristopher Buckle Foundation stick because I do love the formula and wanted to see if it was still the right shade for my current skin tone. I don’t reach for it as often a I used to because I am not sure about the status of the company. I always used to buy these from the KB website. Now the only place i can find them for sale is Walmart. So I am nit sure what happened there and when I have some time I need to do a deep dive. If the brand is still around I will continue purchasing this foundation stick as it is a really nice product and it travels well. It is a creamy stick formula that glides easily without being too stiff and blends like a dream.

The Saint Luxe Liquid Glow that I specifically wanted to try out with different products today is proving to be more of a soft glow than an actual highlighter. I really like it, but it is far more subtle a glow than most of my highlighters. As I really don’t like a lot of bright highlights, it is actually quite nice for me. It is just a subtle hint of glow on the high points of the face. Which is perfect for office and meetings even if it isn’t all that dramatic.

The Blinc Mascara I went light on today but any mascara was really a mistake today. And I did trim my bangs over the weekend which means I should have picked out an eye brow product since you can actually see my eyebrows again, but I forgot. (I also fell asleep with wet hair so my bangs look even more uneven than they should). I actually have several eye brow pencils to test out. I go in phases with my brows. If my bangs are short I will use product, if my bangs are long enough that you can’t see them then I just use a spoolie to comb through them. And then I tend to reach for my favorite Billion Dollar Beauty Brow Pomade instead of trying out the accumulated brow pencils I keep telling myself I need to try out or pass on. It is a great formula, but I need to try out the pencils just to decide if they are staying or not.

This eyeshadow from The Balm is proving fantastic. It applies well and blends well. It is moderately pigmented but buildable. For me that is perfect. I feel I have more control than I do with some highly pigmented formulas.

Finally I am continuing my process of working through my lip liners and I went with bodyography. It is a traditional pencil and creamier than I remembered. It lines really well but was a little thin for filling in. In the end it worked well. It is slightly drying so I did find myself applying lip balm over it. I’m rather liking the color. So that is nice.

It was a fairly simple look with an eye more towards planning a travel makeup bag than anything else. Today it worked for me. Although there will be a trip to the drug store for waterproof mascara. If anyone has any suggestions I’d be happy to hear them. I generally don’t use waterproof mascara and honestly haven’t purchased it in several years.

I know this week won’t be the perkiest of Dailies, but writing them gives me a small window of normality in an otherwise chaotic week, so thanks for putting up with me this week. I hope the rest of your Monday runs smoothly.

Kristopher Buckle’s Vanity Collection Volume 2

I am a sucker for a good makeup kit. I really am. I love them in sample size and I love them in full sized. Makeup, skin care, hair care, I love them all.

I know that sounded a bit like a beauty themed Dr. Seuss book, but it happens to be true. Also this post is in no way sponsored. The links are affiliate links, so I may earn a small commission if you use them when purchasing, but I bought these products on my own and all my opinions will be honest ones.

I think kits and collections are a great way to try out a brand. For those who regularly read these posts you will no doubt have heard that the Kristopher Buckle Cashmere slip lipstick in Bardot is one of my all time favorite lipsticks. The formula is smooth, but not drying and the color is perfect for everyday wear. It’s one of those lipsticks that is so comfortable you forget you are wearing it. while I have gotten that with liquid lips before, I find it really rare in a more traditional lipstick type formula.

But as much as I liked the lipstick, I hadn’t tried anything else by the brand.

So when I saw that the Kristopher Buckle kits were 35% off, I pounced.

Incidentally the sale runs through July 31st if you are interested in taking advantage of them. It is an affiliated link so using them earns me a small fee which helps support this site, but if that bothers you, just go to the site and use the code independently. It isn’t tied to me or my site and I make no money off of it. (code: EXCLUSIVE35)

Affiliate Exclusive | 35% Off Vanity Kits

My kit came in the mail just a few minutes ago and I will be adding these items to my makeup bag for next week, so I haven’t used them yet, I was just so excited they arrived. It seems like everything is taking forever to arrive these days.

Some days I feel like I am stalking the postman.

This came very quickly. I ordered it three days ago and was sort of kicking myself for not ordering earlier. Mostly because there are several other kits included in the sale and if I liked these products enough I was thinking of stocking up. Not only are they 35% off, making this particular kit $18.85 instead of the normal $28, but they have free shipping going right now. They do have various kits and collections in the sale. They have one that is just lipsticks I believe as well. I was very much eying that one but I really wanted to try out the foundation.

In addition I wanted to let you know about the sale as well so you could snap up items you wanted. Cause I like to share.

So what was in my Vanity Collection Volume 2?

The first item is the Triplicity Perfecting Foundation stick (retail $22). It is supposed to be a soft, blendable formula. I’m sure you all know how much I love trying out new foundations by now. And I really do like stick formulas. This one is a really good size too. Hopefully it contains a lot of good product as well.

Next is the graphic gel eyeliner. If I am going to use a pencil instead of a liquid, I do tend to like gel formulas. They tend to pull less at the thin skin as well as glide on easier. I can’t wait to see if this one is up to snuff. I have to say the design of the tip looks interesting. I am resisting opening it and testing it immediately as I want my first impression to come when I use it, but it is really hard to resist.

There was a cashmere slip lipstick in this box as well. It is in the shade Casting Call (retail $14). I’ve mentioned my love of the formula above. I’m hoping this maintains the fabulocity with a different color. I have to say though I almost went with the Vanity Collection 1 box instead of the 2 because in the first kit they include the Cashmere Lip in Bardot and I know that is a shade I will use up until it is empty and I wouldn’t mind having a back up. Admittedly, I’m probably going to be buying a back up anyway.

However, this collection came with a mascara and a setting powder, two of my standard must haves. The mascara is the Grand Opening Volumizing Mascara and the Powder is a translucent setting powder (retail $24). I have to say, while I haven’t opened the powder, I did tip it on it’s side to see how much product is inside. I have to say I am impressed. Often the loose powders that come in kits tend to look only about half full. This is a seriously full container.

I’ll need to add a few things to fill out the makeup bag for next week, but I really like that the kit covers all of the basics. I am looking forward to seeing if all of the products are as good as the lipstick.

All in all I think the set (even at full price) is a really good deal. All of the products are full sized and would cost me far more than $28 if I purchased them separately.

I couldn’t find the eyeliner or the mascara listed separately on the site, but if you add up the cost of the other three elements you get $60, so I think it’s a good deal, especially for 35% off. Incidentally, they also have a sale on eyeshadow palettes (30% off, code PALETTE).

All of these items are going to be added to the upcoming Makeup bag so I’ll hold off on first impressions, but I just had to share what came in my Kristopher Buckle Vanity Collection Volume 2. Let me know if you’ve picked up any of these collections and what you think of them (or any of his products really. I haven’t seen many reviews for them, which considering how fantastic the cashmere lip is, is a crying shame). And if you go to the site (even if it isn’t through my links) don’t forget to use the code(s) to take advantage of the sale. Happy shopping.

Kristofer Buckle

Is Cashmere slip as soft as it’s name?

Kristofer Buckle Cashmere Slip lipstick in Bardot (and yes I repainted my nails right after this picture was taken)

Oh my darlings, I am in love. I know I talk about lipstick a lot. I use it to control my urge to snack and I delight in trying new shades.  I will confess I am more of a liquid lipstick kind of girl, usually. With a few notable exceptions.

Bardot by Kristopher Buckle is a notable exception.

I picked it up because I thought the shade looked nice and because it is supposed to be long lasting.   It is both.

The full name is Cashmere slip long lasting lipstick in the shade Bardot (retail $14).

The Description…

Full impact color. Cashmere Slip® is a creamy, richly pigmented lipstick that delivers bold color for up to 8 hours. Easy to apply, this luxurious formula glides on smooth and wears comfortably.

one swipe, seriously

I will say the color is very pigmented and it glides on as smoothly as the cashmere it is named for.  In the swatch picture to the right, I only did one swipe across my hand to get that color. I wore it for a seven hour stretch without any noticeable diminishment of color so I suspect it would go the full eight hours without an issue.

Be Bold. Be Confident. Be Fearless. Be Anything. Shop now at KristoferBuckle.com!

I find the thinner stick shape of it easier to apply where I want it than many of the bullet style lipsticks. I really like the way it felt on my lips.  It practically melted in so that I felt like I wasn’t actually wearing any lipstick instead of leaving a waxy feel to the lips. The waxy feel is why I tend to lean more towards liquid lips in general. This did not have that problem at all.

The shade Bardot is a perfect neutral color and I think it is one I will definitely be reaching for as my go to neutral. I was a little disappointed that there are only six shades in the line, but I have my fingers crossed that at some point they will expand the line.  For now, I am just going to enjoy the one, all-purpose neutral.
